Time Travel trough the Berlin Artists' Colony

The Berlin Artists' Colony is known worldwide and is unique with its concept of a settlement built only for artists from 1927-1930. Famous screen stars lived here alongside theatre artists, musicians and writers. This audio tour is an invitation to dive into the history of this significant place of art and resistance during WWII. Per site-specific composed short audio play, through which participants find themselves on the stage of history. 

As residents we discovered a variety of artistic biographies. Stories full of wisdom and knowledge about art.  Here people fought for survival, were politically active, critical of society. People helped each other, showed radical solidarity. My project will make it possible to experience what it means to be an artist in times of crisis, and to take a stand, and is thus highly topical. 
 

This Superbohemians city intervention can be experienced by a group or individually. The first presentation is distributed via QR-code (see a small example in the images) on the smartphones, the headphones are put on, and alone or together we go off "into time".

The artists' colony is almost 100 years old, and has been a popular destination for people interested in culture through the years. The tour is cultural education for an international audience.
