MISSUNDERSTANDINGS IN THE CITY
PERFORMANCE | 50 ACTORS | ONLINE-REHEARSALS | THEATRE & MUSEUM
During the “Lange Nacht der Museen” festival (“Long night of the museums”) 50 actors, who were selected on the basis of their auditions at the previous audition performance event, acted parallel on 4 different floors at the venerable Museum of Communication in Berlin, face to face with hundreds of spectators. The performance was based on a theatre text by Christopher Durang called “Gebrüllt vor Lachen” (“Laughing wild”), which was rehearsed with each actor individually in online-sessions via skype before meeting at the ensemble rehearsal space at the legendary "West Germany" venue close to Kottbusser Tor.
A new kind of artistic approach to explore new ways of rehearsing, and the relationship between theatrical content, actors, audience and museum space.
